Another National Park to check off our list. Congaree is one of the least visited National Parks. The park has the largest intact expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the southeastern united States. Bottomland hardwood forests are river swamps.
Trails are quite often flooded.
Mosquitos can get really bad ... WAR ZONE !!
