NOT ... we were excited to see Memphis after being in Nashville. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Beale Street "Home of the Blues" had blues playing in only one of a dozen places on the strip ... and they were charging a $10 cover. Every other place was either closed or playing anything but blues. The city and surrounding areas were dirty, run down and not very inviting. Add to that the fact that it rained the entire weekend. Not what we thought it was going to be.
We did manage to find a great distillery to taste and have a cocktail.
